All the time that Ive ever had any sort of involvement with the bloggersphere it seems when it comes to Yankee all bloggers have a soft spot for this brand.
In all honestly I questioned why there would be so much hype surrounding a candle?
I am one of those hill billy types who dont have the pleasure of having any sort of Yankee candle shop locally or even a retailer who sells them. With that in mind without ever smelling them it probably justifies my initial scepticism.
Yankee candles have lots of fancy names...I mean what does a fluffy towel smell like?
Regardless and totally intrigued I ordered some samples, this was with the hope of finding one I like a lot and then going on to purchase a big Yankee Candle.
In fact when I ordered my first two I posted them upon my Instagram and asked which are your favourites and got a hefty response.
I am led to believe the sample sizes burn for 12-15 hours which is pretty decent being only a sample.
At the moment I have Midsummers Night, Strawberry Buttercream, Vanilla Cupcake, Maple Syrup, and Fluffy Towels
Special mention to Strawberry Buttercream and Fluffy towels.
I love that the samples are all under £2 and depending on where you get them from regularly they come with free P&P.
Current candles on my lust list are:
Do let me know what your favourites are I'm always interested!
P.S had a little layout re-jig. Hope you like it. I promise its staying like this for now!
I've never had any Yankee candles either! Really tempted to buy some samples and see what the fuss is about because I love candles haha

I'm a huge fan of Christmas cupcake! I managed to pick up a big jar in the January sales for like £6 this year, a great idea when the stores are trying to get rid of all of their Christmas stock!! SX
ReplyDeleteI love them, they smell gorgeous

Oooo I love YC, my fav. Best place to get these reasonable (if you can), visit the outlets, ie Clarks village. Went last Sunday, and they the double wick medium tumblar for £7.49 which I thought was pretty good. My favourite is 'White Linen and Lace' - smells absolutely divine. :)

Deletemy 2 faves! xx
ReplyDeleteI've seen everyone get/talk/feature these, but never smelled or tried them. Can't justify it, they seem to cost a fortune and I have a cat that likes to sniff stuff she shouldn't... I don't want her to have singed whiskers.. but I would like to smell them.. just once...!
