Cheeky Coral Shades at Topshop

As mentioned in my previous post last Saturday consisted on hardcore shopping and lovely food in Liverpool. An all round day of indulgence quite honestly.

Whilst in Topshop I made it my duty to stock up on some Topshop makeup.
Unfortunately for me my local Topshop(s) are fairly small and getting my hands on any Topshop makeup is near impossible.

With Coral on my mind induced by my recent purchase of Essie'e Tart Deco I was a woman on a coral-centred mission.

I picked up a Lipstick in Confession and Cream Blush in Head Over Heels.
Confession is a beautiful red with orange undertones lippie and Head over heels is a perfect coral blush.

I was also very interested in picking up Brighton Rock Lipstick. But whilst studying it in the tube I couldn't help but think I had a variety of several similar shades at home.

Gosh I look freckly! Please dont tell me their cute. At 22 im working towards Glam... not cute!

What I was a little disappointed with was how orange/coral the lipstick looked in the bullet, it comes out much pinker on my lips.
I must admit despite this I adore the colour, and for a lipstick hoarder like myself its a shade I don't already own a comparable to. Which is bordering a miracle.
The formula is moisturising and has a very light fruity flavour to it. Which is welcome to my MAC-standardised-vanilla-adjusted lips.

On this image I have the blush applied to my right
(your left)...I knew this would get confusing..cheek. I use a Japonesque stippling brush, discussed here to apply the blush, and the colour is brilliantly buildable. This shade is wonderfully complimented by a light dusting of Benefit's coralista...for added summery coral-ness.
I adore the this blush for a dewy look, cream blush is a formula I really enjoy wearing.

I must say I really am very partial to the Topshop makeup range.
Head Over Heels is £6 Link
Confession Lipstick is £8 Link

Ive read previously that Topshop makeup and MAC have the same manufacturer. I cant confirm after a cheeky Google search how true this is. But if any fact lies in that rumour statement I cant help but think what a wonderful job Topshop are doing at injecting a bit of fun with their vibrant colours at an extremely competitive price.

What are your favourite Topshop makeup purchases?...Id love to know!

  7. These colours are gorgeous on you, esp the lipstick - it looks so juicy! :D I like the blushes too but find they don't last long on me... maybe adding a powder one over the top is the secret.

  10. Hey hun it's @staceysmum84 from Twitter :D

Just want to say great blog - I'm now following. I mainly buy cheaper shoes as I get bored easily and want new ones all the time so it seems pointless me even investing in expensive ones. Does that make sense? It does to me haha.

  11. I do love finding a deal on shoes but I have to agree. Sometimes comfort is worth the price! When you have a chance, I'd love for you to check out my Summer Fashion Link Up:) I'm your newest follower!

  12. I think you're right, cheap shoes let you indulge in more of the colours and trends. Sadly for me, I live in Korea and they don't stock my size in many (if any) shops :'( So although there's lots of very cool cheapy shoes here I can't buy any! I might have a look on ebay but usually I find I have to try on shoes because I'm between a 7 and 8 usually! Booo!

I love those green ones btw, they're especially cute!
