Beauty Essentials- Current Favourites

Hey ladies!

Today I thought Id write about my everyday beauty favourites- threres some familiar products in there and perhaps some you may not have tried.

Stila Brow Kit In Dark- I bought this product a long time ago and I use it faithfully everyday to line my brows. I find even when I'm due a wax and the brows are looking a little worse for wear a quick once over will keep them defined.

MUA Matt Eyeshadow- 17- When applying eyeshadow I like to put a nude near the top of my lip to set the shadow. This baby is a comparable to Urban Decay's "naked" in the naked palette. My palette's had a beasting so I use this instead...its also brilliant value for money!

Benefit High Beam- I bought this little sample in a blogsale and I have a feeling it will be a long time until I will need a full size! I use this on my cheek bones and really like the luminosity it creates. This is a product I really wanted when I first started blogging as there were reviews everywhere!

MAC Blush In Well Dressed- I feel like I'm a broken record with this blush- its my everyday go to.  For more raves have a look at My Favourite Blushes post

Collection 2000 Ultimate Wear concealer in light (2)- This is also a big beauty blogger favourite not only because of the price but it does an excellent job. It promises 16h of wear which is quite a claim for a drugstore produc. I owned this in my teens and loved it. I'm very glad to have it in my make-up drawer again.

Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara- Show me a girl that doesn't mind a bit of chanel in the handbag. I got this in a tester form when I purchased my mat lumiere foundation and vowed Id purchase this in full size, so when I saw it come up in a blogsale I had to give in to my lust! I this is a fabulous mascara- I'm also a sucked for the Chanel packaging.

Packages and Knits OOTD

Hello there!

Yesterday I had a beautiful little package through the post

I was very happy to find it was a beautiful necklace I ordered a few weeks ago from Etsy.

The link for it is featured in this post

It is so dainty and ornate. Its not got that LOOK AT ME statement authority,

instead the little disk creates a glimmer that occasionally catches you eye. It really is lovely.

Today I have a HUGE jumper on...I mean I'm a size 10 and its size 18

Basically Ive been after a nice large cream jumper for a while.

I find jumper dresses too frumpy and usually a little on the short side this is because I'm 5"8.

My thinking behind purchasing such a big jumper is so that when I have those I cant be bothered days I can throw this on!

 ...and that's exactly what Ive done. Ive added a little black belt to give the look more structure. This way I don't entirely look like Ive got the bin bag look going on.

Last Saturday- The Races OOTD/TN

Hello to all my lovely new followers :)

Just a little post - I have been worse for wear today!

So...Saturday I headed to Chester races.

Surprisingly it was sunny and warm all day and a group of us went to celebrate my friend's 22nd.

I love the races because its an excuse to get dressed up!

I didn't get time to take any decent photos so I'm gonna have to improvise a little.

I wore dress from French Connection called Penelope dress

Its just so feminine and romantic it suited the occasion.

I love the shapes the structuring creates at the bottom and it really helps flare the skirt out.

On top of that I am an absolute sucker for embellishment!

When I initially saw this dress it certainly had the WOW factor! :)

Here's me and my guy pre-races.

While we were there a photographer asked me and one of my girlfriends to have our picture taken for Cheshire West Magazine...we will keep an eye out for that!

I am finally gonna get round to some product reviews. I have been fashion heavy so far and have some little gems I would like to share with you.

I have bought some little treats from Lydia's blog sale Link...so really looking forward to those arriving!

Ordered two YSL lipsticks from Cheap smells. Its been a week and still no sign, ODD!

Hair Disasters, Sunday Insprirations, Chills and NOTD

Being ill and stuff its not been an overly productive day. However yesterday I did go on a semi-huge shopping trip and purchased myself amongst other things the Chanel Pro Lumiere. Wow. It is brilliant! Ive been after a dewy look and this foundation certainly aids in achieving that. I'm not going to bore you with what the bottle looks like as I know this product has been reviewed up teen times. I plan to use the foundation for nights out. At £33 a bottle its got a place in my heart but it hurt the bank balance!

I was flicking through the latest ASOS mag and stumbled upon this...

Filled with inspiration I purchased a camel blazer from H&M. Its pretty edgy for my tastes but I love it. I'm sure ill follow with it in OOTD's soon! Also bought a felt trilby <3 Just need to get a lighter shade jumper...

On to THE HAIR INCIDENT. Well. I used the John Freida lightening spray about a week ago and got no results. For those of you that aren't aware of the spray it is a "gradual lightener" and is heat activated (dryer & straighteners suggested. You spray it on when damp. I was more interested in lightening my hairline and roots to save having to pop to the salon. But after one application I saw little change. Something came over me so I did all the top section of my head...This is the result

I cant quite figure if I'm ginger or lighter brown. This is in direct light but when its darker it is certainly less glowy. Either way I'm leaving it for a few days to decide if I like it or should fiddle a little more :/

I currently have "sensible nails". I am usually bright pink/red and over the summer have used a lot of oranges. At the moment I have "smoky brown" by Elf. I guess I like it cause its super neutral and goes with a lot of the A/W ensembles I have been buying/wearing.

The application is pretty crappy I do apologise but you get the gist.

Products I'm Loving This Month

So we are nearing the end of summer...sighhh! & This calls for a good examination of what Ive been digging out of the make-up bag more than usual. They are as follows:

Elf Products:

Elf Complete coverage concealer: This baby is brilliant! You know when you've been away or out in the sun and your skin colour darkens? Well this consists of four different shades which allow you to get an exact skin match my mixing or shifting up/down a shade. Very happy with this investment!

Elf Shimmering Whip: I haven't owned this product too long but it gives me a brilliant glow to my cheeks and also works really nicely on my lips. I see big things for this one when attempting the "pinched look" over Autumn/Winter.

Elf Eyelid primer: This is a staple for me. I use it everyday and sometimes with it naked on my eyelids. The colour helps my eyelids pop and works as great eyeshadow base.

Bourjois Chocolate bronzer: This gets a lot of hype over other blogs/Youtube vids. All I'm gonna say it smells amazing and is a great shade for contouring!

Stila Eyebrow Kit: I love this! I use it to shade my eyebrows as dramatic/soft as I want. It really gives me the POP I want and I cant recommend it enough!

Sleek Eyeliner Gel Pot: Ive always been a eyeliner-pen kinda gal. But on purchasing this I have been able to create much more precise dramatic make-up & Im loving it!

Maybelline One By One Volume Express Mascara: The wand is ideal for separating your eyelashes and fanning them out. I'm not a hugely mascara-bothered person but it does the trick!

On a good note I'm off to purchase the Chanel Pro Lumiere over the weekend and possibly a little MAC trip...we shall see!

On a bad one my poor tonsils have seen better days and I'm off to the doctors tomorrow!
