The Christmas Dress Situation: The Red Pencil

 Have you noticed? AOG is literally camp as Christmas- I hope you like!
Its Sunday and yep...you've guessed it another (penultimate) Christmas party dress post!

I have discussed the sequin and midi options the two previous Sundays.

I am proud to recycle my former graduation dress into a Christmas party dress (I really am making a conscious effort to do this more!). My first Christmas party is in fact this Friday and this is my option for that particular occasion.

I like that this dress is understated and incredibly classic. Its a staple I think I will find myself going back to over the years regardless of season. I like the large pocket detail, the hint of cleavage, the capped sleeves and the above the knee cut. Its a classic case of "keep it simple stupid" but that mantra suits me fine.

I plan to wear this dress with some black sparkly heels and voluminous hair as simple as that.

The Christmas Dress Situation: The Midi

Hello everyone.
You may remember this time last week I explained I had THREE Christmas parties this year.
This is one of my more sophisticated options- I actually wore this out last night too.
In all honestly I love how plain and simple this dress, Granted it is not terribly forgiving but makes me feel very womanly.  Its bodycon fit clings to all my curvy bits.

I bought this from BooHoo and paid a very reasonable price for it, again I am loving the long sleeves and the above the knee cut. Overall I am thoroughly enjoying the midi dress and already eyeing up some Topshop midis for work....

For my Christmas party I anticipate I will wear this dress with some huge statement earrings, sparkly wedges and a blazer.

Its only today Ive started my Christmas shopping/browsing and getting it all sorted is scaring me!

The Christmas Dress Situation: Sequins.

Hello All!

I'm sure most of you are resigned to the fact from here on in Christmas is going to be the resounding theme throughout the bloggersphere for the next couple of weeks- and AOG is no exception.

I am so excited for Christmas this year- those of you who have been following my blog since this time last year know that I had a terrible car crash and wrote my car off December last year, consequently spending the majority of Christmas up to my eyeballs on diaepam crying- it really was a grim Christmas last year.....but moving on I as well as Ive ever been and anticipating Christmas this year with added delight.

This year I have three Christmas parties on three separate weeks and so need three Christmas outfits. Those of you who have read my "How To Be Financially Glamorous" Post know that I really am reigning in on my spending at present and desperately trying to resist some of the sparkly gorgeousness in the shop and be sensible with my purchases.

This dress is from Missguided and irritatingly drifted in and out of stock for a long time. I was drawn to the sequins and the sophistication of the long sleeves with essential nod to the peplum trend.

 

 Admittedly the dress comes up a lot shorter than I had envisaged from the Missguided photos regardless I am really looking forward to wearing this over the festive season. I really love the exposed zip detailing on the back. I cant help think this dress is curiously similar to my Chirtsmas dress choice last year but hey who says a Leopard ever changes its spots!
