Autumnal Berry Lip

This was nearly titled...yet another berry lipstick post.
I know there are lots flying about at the moment but I am loving them for Autumn.
Be assured when payday comes about I will be whole heatedly be found in Boots stocking up my berry lipstick collection.

Now this is a colour I picked up a few weeks ago.
I love its colour, the almost-lipgloss-like finish and the packaging.
For someone who openly admits to having lipstick issues I really don't spend too much of my money on high street lipsticks.
If its bold and bright Ill be heading towards the MAC counter in a shot.
In a way I am kicking myself a little at my somewhat lipstick-related narrow minded thinking.

This calibre falls into the "wearable" category of berry lipsticks.
It hints at statement without being too over bearing and shys away from that berry lip your Nana would faithfully wear regardless of season or occasion.

I am building the courage to rock this shade in the office- only through lack of enthusiasm of the whole reapplication-in-the-office-thing more than anything else.
If you wish to see what it looks like on have a look at my Estee Lauder foundations review- I'm wearing it there

I think when swatched it comes across much more pink toned which I like.

Amethyst Shimmer is available at Boots
If you are into a matt finish Amethyst Shimmer is also available within Rimmels Lasting finish range

Safe to say I will be swinging by the moisture renew Rimmel counter very soon.

What is your favourite berry lipstick shade?

Sculpted Platform Shoes.

I'm sure I'm not the only girl that looks at this design in equal measures of wonder and horror.
It is a combination of Mr Jeffory Campbell's imagination and Lady Gaga's drive to pull fashion forward which whips up this current shoe trend.

I first saw a pair a few months ago and the sales assistant was adamant she had a pair and found them incredibly comfy.
The only thing is I am a tall girl....don't get me wrong I am by no means confined to a lifestyle of ugly kitten heels (sorry Asia!) of an evening. But I don't like to be TOO tall or have incredibly uncomfortable shoes on when I already have a certain height minus the pain.

Say I were to go all alternative in choosing this style what colour would I pick?
Safe multifunctional black or all out with a print or neon or even some spike hardware.
Regardless I am still in two minds and doubtless will quiz the next woman I see braving this style whilst powdering my nose in the toilets after a few gins of course....I just cant decide.

Here is a little representation of the delightful styles and price ranges available:

Would you wear these shoes?

I have been a very poorly girly last few days.
Good news is last week I did some filming so hopefully Ill have a fresh video up soon.

Trend: Studs & Spikes

Hello there.
Today Ive collated some bits that I have seen much of in around Internet-shopping-land.

Studs and spikes are everywhere at the moment and being featured in a lot of next seasons releases.
Here there are lots of different bits and bobs to inspire you in the studs and spikes department (oooo er!). I really like how you can take a really girly outfit and rock it up a little bit with some added metal.

1.Studded Mini Messenger Bag- Zara Link
2. Studded Shoulder Jumper- Topshop Link
3. Spike Ear Cuff- ASOS Link
4.Stud Detailing Black Holdall - Topshop Link
5. Individual Brass Pyramid studs- Ebay Link
6. Studded Slippers Zara Link
7. Studded Grey Marle Vest- Glamourous Link
8. Stud Slippers- Ebay Link
9. Gold Double Spike Bracelet- ASOS Link
10. Stud And Spike Shoes- Ebay Link

As a big lover of embellishments its obvious that the amount of effort in producing such items is reflected in the price (their a bit fiddly you see). With that in mind I have included some pyramid brass studs so that if you ever felt like giving studding a go yourself who am I to stop you!
Saying that I must admit I have some Levis still hanging up waiting to be studded. I hope this collection of items shows that when it comes to spikes and studs it needn't be in your face scary and gothy, sometimes a subtle stud or spike can really accent an outfit or bring it up to trend.

Do you like the studs and spike trend?
