Ill go back to MAC...favourite blusher

Its so easy to forget about the beautiful things you've purchased in the past.
I have overwhelming respect for miss Maria Sparkle who was taking part in a self inflicted spending ban.
This means lots of "shopping her stash"
...its mad how much half used bits of unused product you can accumulate.
In all honesty I could do with doing this too...just I wouldn't manage the none spending bit!

With this is mind and the seasons in complete change in comparison to the very odd initial hot October weather so do the demands of my skin/makeup regime (..well slightly)

I picked this up out of my makeup stash yesterday. It is to date the brightest blush I have EVER seen or owned for that matter.
This is Her Blooming Cheek
and really sorry I also hate when people do this...its limited addition! It is from last years Christmas collection.
A very similar dupe is Dollymix which is in the permanent line at MAC.

This colour is perfect for a bit of cheek POP
One swipe of this and your good to go because the colour is so pigmented its a blush that will last a very long time.
Here is the colour very lightly swatched...it is buildable but you need me be careful
...theres winter flush and then their just looking permanantly embarrassed!

It really is something I'm glad Ive brought back out of my stash!

What are you ladies rediscovering in your makeup collection?

MAC Amplified....the low down

Hello there! Hello new followers :)
I do apologise for lack of posting...quite frankly I was away all weekend enjoying myself!

Today I want to take you through my three favourite MAC amplified creme lipsticks.
For those that are new to MAC or MAC lipstick amplified cremes they are highly pigmented with a creme finish. It is because of their moisturising aspect and vibrant colour that I love them so!

To view swatches of all of the MAC amplified range look here

These are my favs:
Girl About Town- this is a MAC lipstick must have and I know is a blogger/Youtube favourite...and I understand why. This striking fuchsia has the ability to glamorise a very plain look. This lipstick is fabulous is putting a spin on the 50s pin up look adding a modern twist. I use this lipstick often out of an evening. Theres something about this colour pop that says "'Ive made an effort tonight!"
I think this picture really aids in showing the vibrancy of this pink shade. As you can see this pink has a red undertone and this contributes in delivering that unquestionable POP!

Up The Amp: OK..so, to a lot of women this colour is a little scary and intimidating-don't be! This shade is really buildable so it can be as subtle or as imposing as you want. This lippe looks incredible on WOC when built up. Believe it or not but I sometimes wear this for daytime to add that little glamour to my look if my makeup is very plain. Ive also worn this out with a white dress using the lipstick to modernise the look as a whole.
To show you how unitimidating this colour can really be this is it when only lightly applied.
Its gorgeous purple colour really carries an explicit uniqueness and this is really what makes it a must have.

Chatterbox: This shade has a particular place in my heart because I usually wear it as a daytime lipstick. When I want something other than Hue or Creme d Nude this is my next go to. I wore this colour a lot over the summer as it would freshen up my look.

The only way to really describe this shade is as a pretty pink. Its not bubblegum or anything too outrageous, its a pink with a slight coral undertone which makes it a favourite because it can be used to enhance a range of looks or occasions.

Finally here are the swatches on a white background. The undertones are much more prominent in this image.

So there we have it my favourite MAC amplified cremes!

Packages and Knits OOTD

Hello there!
Yesterday I had a beautiful little package through the post
I was very happy to find it was a beautiful necklace I ordered a few weeks ago from Etsy.
The link for it is featured in this post
It is so dainty and ornate. Its not got that LOOK AT ME statement authority,
instead the little disk creates a glimmer that occasionally catches you eye. It really is lovely.
Today I have a HUGE jumper on...I mean I'm a size 10 and its size 18
Basically Ive been after a nice large cream jumper for a while.
I find jumper dresses too frumpy and usually a little on the short side this is because I'm 5"8.
My thinking behind purchasing such a big jumper is so that when I have those I cant be bothered days I can throw this on!
...and that's exactly what Ive done. Ive added a little black belt to give the look more structure. This way I don't entirely look like Ive got the bin bag look going on.
Jumper: Primark
Belt: Primark
Watch: Micheal Kors

FACE:
Foundation: No7 Stay perfect
Blush: Sleek Flamingo

LIPS:
MAC Chatterbox

EYES:
Sleek palette
Chanel inimitable intense mascara

Thank you for my lovely birthday comments!

YSL Indulgence

I am a huge lipstick fan. HUGE
It was only a week last Saturday I had a weak moment whilst browsing Cheapsmells
when I came across these beautiful YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks.
They were £5 off RRP so the temptation was even larger.

There were a variety of colours available so I checked some reviews on YouTube before purchasing.
I chose a fuchsia pink and a light pink.
Left: 10 Provocative Pink
Right: 7 Lingerie Pink

These lippies are SEXY. They have sexy names and just ooze class and sophistication. A welcome visitor to any dressing table, they are beautiful to look at. I remeber watching a Pixiwoo2/@TanyaBurr video once and she commented along the line of "I wish all lipsticks were as sexy as YSL".
I feel the same.

They feel weighty in your hand and I love the classy gold design. Its really not going to be subtle getting one of these babies out of your purse!
Top: 7 Lingerie Pink
Bottom: 10 Provocative Pink

The texture of the lipsticks are creamy. When looking at both lippies I saw two immediate dupes.
The 7 Lingerie Pinkis very similar to MAC Viva Glam Gaga.
It has similar blue undertones but is a much creamier texture.
(Sorry my lips need some love and attention!)
I know the Viva glam gaga was criticised for not being very wearable.
But rather than slathering this colour on it is very buildable depending on how much you want you lips to POP.
My deepest apologies my Gaga lipstick disappeared a while ago so I cannot physically compare them!
10 Provocative Pink
This is a deep fuchsia, it really has the capabilities to give the POP you may want.
This lippie is for all those bold lipstick wearers out there...hurrah!
I really love the colour, it is so beautiful,
I also have a dupe for this one also: MAC Girl About Town
Top: MAC Girl About Town
Bottom: YSL Rouge Volumpte 10 Provocative Pink

The YSL is a little darker than the MAC, but they colour pay off is very similar.
I have to say though that the YSL has a much better staying power than the MAC, although I adore it I have spent many nights constantly re-applying to achieve the same POP.

My eyebrows continue to look almightily crap!,,,may book a consultation tomorrow!

I had a session on some toning tables today. Their basically machines that create resistance in order to tone your body. I am sceptical but it was good fun!

Its my birthday on Saturday :) :) :) !!

What are your favourite lipsticks?
Wishing you a good week!

Last Saturday- The Races OOTD/TN

Hello to all my lovely new followers :)
Just a little post - I have been worse for wear today!

So...Saturday I headed to Chester races.
Surprisingly it was sunny and warm all day and a group of us went to celebrate my friend's 22nd.
I love the races because its an excuse to get dressed up!

I didn't get time to take any decent photos so I'm gonna have to improvise a little.
I wore dress from French Connection called Penelope dress
Its just so feminine and romantic it suited the occasion.
(ref: Google Images)
I love the shapes the structuring creates at the bottom and it really helps flare the skirt out.
On top of that I am an absolute sucker for embellishment!
When I initially saw this dress it certainly had the WOW factor! :)
Here's me and my guy pre-races.

While we were there a photographer asked me and one of my girlfriends to have our picture taken for Cheshire West Magazine...we will keep an eye out for that!

Below on the other hand was far from a professional snap!
Huge cheesy grin!!

Rimmel bronzer-to contour
Elf facial whip
MAC Well dressed- blush
MAC cream colour base Hush- highlight

Oh and in case you were wondering I won £36.50 all in all which I was very pleased with!

OOTD Sunday & Super Snug

So having used various ways to make my 5 week Thailand tan last its finally disappeared!...Although I do have slight flip-flop marks from working outside in incredible weather during July...That soon disappeared didn't it!

I'm back on the St Tropez. I have used it for 4 years and swear by it. If you wondering which one I use it is this one:
(Image ref: FeelUnique)
It can cost around £25-£30 but I see it as a reasonable investment as it tends to last about 4-5 months.
I apply it with a mitt and moisturise any dry areas I may have.

Today I am all about the comfort & I have got around to rocking my black felt Primarni trilby!
Top: H&M
HUGE Cardigan: Warehouse (last winter)
Jeans (yes i am wearing some!) River Island

Waistbelt: Primark.
Believe it or not but I'm actually a size 10. This may give you an idea how chunky the cardigan is. But when it gets to the -degree temperatures I am more concerned about warmth than anything!

FACE:
No7 stay perfect foundation
Contour: Maybelline bronzer
Blush: MAC well dressed powder
Highlight: MAC cream colour base Hush
EYES:
All from Sleek storm palette

LIPS:
Rimmel: Desert bloom lipstick 633

In other news:
I am off to the races on Saturday and cant figure what to wear!?
Heavy workouts planned for the week
Instead of doing any paperwork last night I bought a new dress and 2 YSL lipsticks, awaiting their arrival..!

Wishing you all a super chilled Sunday. I will be having a guest blogger on Tuesday so look out for that

Products I'm Loving This Month

So we are nearing the end of summer...sighhh! & This calls for a good examination of what Ive been digging out of the make-up bag more than usual. They are as follows:
Elf Products:
Elf Complete coverage concealer: This baby is brilliant! You know when you've been away or out in the sun and your skin colour darkens? Well this consists of four different shades which allow you to get an exact skin match my mixing or shifting up/down a shade. Very happy with this investment!

Elf Shimmering Whip: I haven't owned this product too long but it gives me a brilliant glow to my cheeks and also works really nicely on my lips. I see big things for this one when attempting the "pinched look" over Autumn/Winter.

Elf Eyelid primer: This is a staple for me. I use it everyday and sometimes with it naked on my eyelids. The colour helps my eyelids pop and works as great eyeshadow base.

Bourjois Chocolate bronzer: This gets a lot of hype over other blogs/Youtube vids. All I'm gonna say it smells amazing and is a great shade for contouring!
Stila Eyebrow Kit: I love this! I use it to shade my eyebrows as dramatic/soft as I want. It really gives me the POP I want and I cant recommend it enough!

Sleek Eyeliner Gel Pot: Ive always been a eyeliner-pen kinda gal. But on purchasing this I have been able to create much more precise dramatic make-up & Im loving it!

Maybelline One By One Volume Express Mascara: The wand is ideal for separating your eyelashes and fanning them out. I'm not a hugely mascara-bothered person but it does the trick!

On a good note I'm off to purchase the Chanel Pro Lumiere over the weekend and possibly a little MAC trip...we shall see!
On a bad one my poor tonsils have seen better days and I'm off to the doctors tomorrow!

Are there any products your particularly loving this month?
Get in touch!
